No border, it was too hemmed in with the border around it … finished!
Rappahanock County adjoins the National Park and is truly one of the greenest most beautiful places I have seen. Old Rag mountain towers over it. It has a rocky promontory, and to summit it one must scramble over rocks, but the reward is a breathtaking view. This poster only hints at that awesomeness, but its coloration does capture the incredible lushness of the area, especially after a record year for rainfall.
Technical observation here - the top version of this poster looks just as I would like it to, at least on the screen. The hiker is almost lost in the deep greens of the forested mountain in the near background. The luminous colors do shine through the deep shadows. However, when printed, colors are not the same as when backlit on a computer screen, of course, so I am printing from the second image.
