It sure was intense and the weather kept us on our toes, with occasional rain and wind, but we had a great three days along the edge of the UCI Worlds course in the Fan district, Richmond. There is nothing quite like seeing a mass of cyclists approaching as one giant organism, at a good clip, too. Our position glimpsed them as they turned a corner onto West Main Street. And it was a right angle turn, the roads were often wet, but they and the fifty-car entourage that followed just zipped around. My heart was in my throat, but no crashes, at least none that I saw, and apparently none serious throughout the nine day event.
But back to art and design. We did great! Lots was learned, and friends were made. It was exhausting, but fun to stay in the big city at a nearby Airbnb and great to sell our wares into many new homes in Richmond and elsewhere.
